My new cupboard / Mijn nieuwe buffetkast

Someone told me that time flies when it comes to a baby growing into a toddler. After hearing this I pictured my toddler coming up to my two open cupboards in the living room (just put there last year) and taking all the stuff out .... mmmh, not good.
So, I changed the open cupboards for a closed one, again. This new cupboard is not as big as the one I had before, but actually I like it this way. It saves room for a playpen to come (and more baby stuff).
This cupboard has a country feel about it, because of the panels in three directions. It is painted in white and modified with wax to give it a vintage look. You can easily find these kind of cupboards at thrift shops in your local area if you want to create one like this yourself.

Iemand vertelde mij dat de tijd vliegt als het gaat om een baby die zich ontwikkelt tot een peuter. Nadat ik dit had gehoord moest ik denken aan mijn twee open kasten die ik vorig jaar in de woonkamer had geplaatst - en onze peuter (in wording) die alles uit de kasten zou halen... mmmh, niet goed. 
Dus, veranderde ik opnieuw de open kasten voor een dichte kast. Deze nieuwe kast is niet zo groot als die ik hiervoor had, maar eigenlijk vind ik dat wel fijn zo. Het bespaart ruimte voor de box die nog moet komen (plus alle andere babyspullen). 
Deze kast geeft een landelijk gevoel omdat de panelen in drie richtingen zijn gemaakt. Het is wit geverfd en behandeld met was om een vintage uiterlijk te creëren. Je kunt zelf makkelijk dit soort kasten vinden in een locale kringloopwinkel bij jou in de buurt mocht je zelf ook zo'n kast willen maken.
