She took some two different patterns of adhesive plastic and covered the shelves and the stairs with it, each shelve another pattern to give a playful look. She bought some baskets at IKEA's and grouped food and more. Oh, yeah, and that stunning BBQ is named Smokey Joe of the brand Weber.<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_DVWjQRGsEhQ/TOrV8yeoOXI/AAAAAAAAAfg/dPenoWhgdio/s1600/IMG_0248.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_DVWjQRGsEhQ/TOrV8yeoOXI/AAAAAAAAAfg/dPenoWhgdio/s200/IMG_0248.jpg" width="200" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Claire veranderde haar bergkast van geel naar roze kleuren. Ze nam twee verschillende patronen van plakplastic en bedekte de planken en de trap om en om met een patroon om een speels effect te geven. Ze kocht wat manden bij Ikea en groepeerde etenswaren en meer. Beplak het met mooi papier in aardetinten, een klassiek plaatje en omwikkel het met kant en een klein stukje touw. Voeg er een bijpassend ornamentje aan toe en... voila! Je hebt een schattig klassiek ogend klein geschenkje. Deze heb ik al kado gedaan, aan Claire, natuurlijk. Maar ik zou er graag eens een paar maken als give-away. This variety gives big white flowers and grows very fast. Because the flowers are too heavy for the plant is is good to support the branches. If you don't do that there is a change the branches will break because of the weight of the flowers. Because the plant gives many flowers, Claire always puts some flowers in vases at home,  during summertime.<br /><br />In haar voortuin heeft Claire de hortensia Annabelle. Deze varieteit geeft grote, witte bloemen en groeit erg snel. Omdat de bloemen eigenlijk te zwaar zijn voor de plant is het goed om de takken te ondersteunen. Als je dit niet doet bestaat de kans dat de takken breken door het gewicht van de bloemen. Omdat de plant veel bloemen geeft, doet Claire in de zomer, thuis wat bloemen in vaasjes.

Winter Wonderland

Snow gives a feel of wonder to young and old. It makes the world where you are at, all of the sudden a whole other world. So it looks as if time stands still at that moment. Sneeuw geeft een gevoel van verbazing aan jong tot oud. Het maakt de wereld waar je in bent op dat moment ineens een hele andere wereld. Het lijkt er dan op, alsof op dat moment de tijd even stilstaat. Birdhouse-village / Vogelhuisjes-dorp

But I needed some extra space one time and grouped them all together. Couldn't help myself shifting them to and fro till I was satisfied with the alignment. Then, when I'm done, I love to just stand and watch them from a distance, over and over again. Ze staan gewoonlijk overal in mijn woonkamer-keuken. Maar ik had op enig moment wat extra ruimte nodig en groepeerde ze daarom op één plek. Ik moest gewoon even schuiven en schikken tot ik tevreden was over de compositie. En dan, wanneer ik klaar ben, vind ik het gewoon heerlijk om te staan kijken vanaf een afstandje, opnieuw en opnieuw. Spray Carnations / Trosanjers

Why? Well... first of all, they are stronger than most roses when they are in a vase at home. Spray Carnations can last for 2 or 3 weeks. Even when these flowers wither, they fade in a beautiful way. Spray Carnations are also very cheap to buy in the Netherlands, much cheaper than roses. And the light pink variety gives a soft and cuddly image.<br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_DVWjQRGsEhQ/TOrNdXQbgQI/AAAAAAAAAeo/HIbm6pUXooI/s1600/IMG_6310.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_DVWjQRGsEhQ/TOrNdXQbgQI/AAAAAAAAAeo/HIbm6pUXooI/s320/IMG_6310.jpg" width="213" /></a><br /><br /><br />Veel mensen kunnen trosanjers ouderwets vinden, maar Claire is helemaal gek op deze bloemen. Waarom? Nou... ten eerste zijn ze sterker dan de meeste rozen wanneer ze in een vaas staan thuis. Trosanjers staan zo'n 2 a 3 weken. Als de bloemen verwelken, dan gebeurt dat op een mooie manier. Trosanjers zijn erg goedkoop om aan te schaffen in Nederland, veel goedkoper als rozen. En de lichtroze variëteit heeft een zacht en aaibaar karakter.

She decided to make a picture of the parakeet. So, who is watching who? </div><br />Claire heeft twee catharinaparkieten thuis. Deze parkieten zijn erg rustig en makkelijk. Ook hebben ze prachtige kleuren en zijn ze thuis goed te houden als een koppeltje. Het mannetje was naar Claire aan het kijken toen ze aan het 'scrapboeken' was. Ze besloot een foto van de parkiet te maken. Dus, wie kijkt er naar wie?

Claire: "Normally I wouldn't do retro in my home, but I think it totally makes sense when I think about my music studio. I love the use of damaged furniture and the yellow-brown walls.  I found almost everything at a second hand store in my residence. My favorite elements in my home studio are the retro chair, the funny wall of fame, the printed  vintage radio's and the corduroy sewing box. Claire: "Normaal zou ik niet snel kiezen voor retro in mijn huis, maar ik denk dat het wel logisch werkt als ik aan mijn muziekstudio denk. Ik houd van het beschadigde meubilair en de geelbruine muren. Bijna alles vond ik in een kringloopwinkel in mijn woonplaats. Mijn favoriete elementen in mijn studio zijn de retro stoel, de grappige wall of fame, de geprinte vintage radio's en de met ribstof beklede naaibox. Much loved Chandelier / Zeer geliefde Kroonluchter

So I looked around my living room to find them a new place. My chandelier! I've got 4 of the same hanging in my living room / kitchen. But the one above the coffee table was to be the lucky one. Now it's got rattan hearts, glass-look icicles and sweet little birdhouses hanging from it. Maar degene boven de salontafel zou de gelukkige worden. Nu hangen er rieten hartjes, glas-look ijspegels en schattige kleine vogelhuisjes aan. Sommige daarvan waren handgemaakt. Karin verfde een theedoos en stempelde woorden daarop. Ook maakte ze kleine hartjes en stempelde ook daar lieve woorden op. Naast dit printte Karin een van Claire's songteksten op een transparant vel en rolde dit in kant en lint. The kitchen was bought at IKEA's but with adding some vintage and shabby chic elements it became a real country style kitchen. A few of Claire's favorite elements are: The classic aspect of the new stove, the open cupboards on the wall, the meat hanger with vintage stuff hanging on it, the glass drawers that she painted in the same color as the kitchen cupboards, the French egg basket and the big double sink.<br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_DVWjQRGsEhQ/TOrBaUADFII/AAAAAAAAAds/pFQCX6OecQ8/s1600/IMG_6203.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_DVWjQRGsEhQ/TOrBaUADFII/AAAAAAAAAds/pFQCX6OecQ8/s200/IMG_6203.jpg" width="133" /></a><br /><br />Claire's keuken is echt klein, maar heeft alles wat ze nodig heeft. De keuken is gekocht bij IKEA maar door wat vintage en shabby chic elementen toe te voegen werd het een echte country style keuken.
