Our porch is one of my favorite places to be these days. I also enjoy to decorate the porch over and over again. This year I replaced the big table for a smaller table (see last year's  post of last over <a href="http://24homes.blogspot.com/2010/11/porch-elements-elementen-van-de-veranda.html">here)</a>. I also put in some extra small furniture to make the porch more cute. Details like pillows, fabrics, flowers and more make it feel like home to me. Onze veranda is een van mijn favoriete plaatsen op deze dagen. Ook houd ik ervan om de veranda steeds opnieuw te decoreren. Dit jaar verwijderde ik de grote tafel en plaatste er een kleinere tafel (zie de post van vorig jaar <a href="http://24homes.blogspot.com/2010/11/porch-elements-elementen-van-de-veranda.html">hier</a>). Ook plaatste ik wat extra kleine meubeltjes om de veranda wat schattiger te maken. De details zoals kussens, stoffen, bloemen en meer maakt dat het voor mij thuis voelt. Baby Clothes on a Towel Bar / Babykleertjes aan een handdoekrek

The colors I chose, complement each other. I hung the clothes on a vintage towel bar to give the room an extra vintage feel - not too much vintage, but in a way that it fits a nursery. Ik hing de kleertjes aan een vintage handdoekrek om de kamer een extra vintage sfeer te geven - niet teveel vintage, maar op een manier die mooi in een babykamer past. Patchwork Fabric for the Nursery / Patchwork stoffen voor de babykamer

I searched for white fabric but I wanted patchwork fabric, so that was a challenge to find.<br />Cottonbaby.com is a Dutch brand with nice fabrics (not only patchwork in whites, but also many other colors and products). I've ordered a play mat, bottle bags, a bib, a pillowcase, a crib sheet and a changing pad cover - all patchwork in whites. I will use some other colors too, but not too many. Maybe a little beige and pastel green or blue. Oh, and the little stuffed lamb is 30 years old. It was my cuddly when I was a baby. Ik zocht naar witte stof maar ik wilde patchwork, dus dat was een uitdaging om te vinden. </span><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666;">Cottonbaby.com is een Nederlands merk met mooie stoffen (niet alleen patchwork in het wit, maar vele andere kleuren en producten). Ik heb een boxkleed, kruikzakken, een slabbetje, een kussensloopje en een aankleedkussenhoes besteld - allemaal patchwork in het wit. Ik zal ook wat andere kleuren gaan gebruiken, maar niet teveel. Misschien een beetje beige en pastel groen of blauw. </span><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666;">Oja, en het kleine knuffellammetje is al 30 jaar oud. Het was mijn knuffeltje toen ik een baby was. At the Sacha shoe store I found these sweet shoes that I couldn't resist. I wear them regularly with joy. On hot days they are airy to wear. Nursery Wardrobe / Babykamer wandkastje

It gives you extra space for baby care products (or sweet decorations that fit in your nursery). Because I use the dresser mostly for practical baby stuff I use the wardrobe more for decoration. I have to be honest; I am more of a type that goes for pretty than practical).<br />On the top shelf I've placed a vintage bottle of linen water, a wire basket that I got from KJ, my vintage children's bible and an old frame that I will use for the bird card (still to design, so that will be a surprise for later).<br />On the second shelf I've placed some fabrics and two pair of baby booties. On the hooks I've hung hearts, a frame that I've put a sweet picture in, and a pair of small baby sneakers. I think it's important that all items and colors are coordinated to form a serene atmosphere in de nursery. Het geeft extra ruimte voor babyverzorgingsspullen (of lieve decoraties die in de babykamer passen). Omdat ik de commode gebruik voor de meeste praktische babyspullen, gebruik ik het wandkastje meer voor decoratie. (Ik moet eerlijk zijn: ik ben meer een type dat gaat voor mooi dan voor praktisch). </span><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666;">Op de bovenste plank plaatste ik een oude fles met linnenwater, een draadmandje dat ik van KJ heb gekregen, mijn vintage kinderbijbel en een oud lijstje dat ik zal gaan gebruiken voor het geboortekaartje (nog steeds te ontwerpen, dus dat wordt een verrassing voor later). </span><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666;">Op de tweede plank plaatste ik wat stoffen en twee paar babyslofjes. Aan de haken hing ik hartjes, een fotolijst waar ik een lieve foto in heb gestopt, en een paar babyschoentjes. Ik vind het belangrijk dat alle items en kleuren op elkaar zijn afgestemd zodat je een serene sfeer creëert in de babykamer. A feed silo on the window gives you an opportunity to see birds really close. This picture I took from  the other side of the window. Baby Care Products in a Basket / Babyverzorgingsspullen in een mandje

I already had this wire basket in my old scrapbook room, but I found it cute enough to use in the baby room. I really like these baby care products  because of the soft color, so they are nice enough to use on the dresser (Etos.nl).<br />Ofcourse you can also use this idea on bathroom products in your own bathroom for example. Or you can use an old basket to put in garden supplies to store your shed. Maybe you even have a better idea? Ik had deze mand al in mijn oude scrapbookkamer, maar ik vond het lief genoeg om te gebruiken voor de babykamer. Deze babyverzorgingsspullen vind ik erg mooi door de lichte zachte kleur, dus ze zijn mooi genoeg om te gebruiken op de commode (Etos.nl). </span><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666;">Natuurlijk kan je dit idee ook toepassen voor badkamer producten in je eigen badkamer bijvoorbeeld. Of je kunt een oude mand gebruiken om tuingereedschap in te doen in je schuur. Misschien heb je nog een beter idee?
